Mudgee Accommodation

About Forgandenny House:

Forgandenny House (circa 1900) is a magnificent Heritage Federation home, 250 metres from the heart of Mudgee, overlooking the beautiful Lawson Park and the Cudgegong River.

The house was commissioned to be built by Dr. Charles Lester, who was the first surgeon to practice in Mudgee (circa 1895). An historic home, complete with the ambience of a bygone era, Forgandenny House is the finest example of outstanding Bed and Breakfast accommodation.

Forgandenny House, Mudgee
Lost from the family for 75 years due to a contract default, your hosts Robbie and Errol Holdaway repurchased the property in 2000, bringing the home back into the family - Robbie is Dr. Charles Lester's great-granddaughter. With over fifty years combined experience in the hospitality industry, Robbie and Errol have worked diligently to restore the house in every detail to its past splendour, and operate Forgandenny House Bed and Breakfast with pride and passion.
